A beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, Kristen Nicole Murray was called home to our Heavenly Father on October 15, 2021 after a courageous fight to heart disease. Born in San Antonio, Texas on July 1, 1983 to Claudia C. Hernandez and the late David Earl Murray.
Kristen grew up in San Antonio, Texas where she graduated from Winston Churchill high school. She attended junior college where she received her Medical Assistant certification.
Kristen was a very loving and compassionate person who loved her son, Jacob, and her family. She had a heart of gold, a tender soul, and memorably touched everyone she came in contact with. We will always remember her infectious smile, piercing green eyes and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be greatly missed. When you think of Kristen celebrate the good and beautiful memories you have of her.
Remember that life is short and fragile, and should be lived with kindness and love.
Kristen’s passion was working with children. She spent many years working with special needs children as a para professional at NEISD and various learning centers. She continued this passion until her dying day.
Kristen is preceded in death by her father, David E. Murray; grandparents, John and Mattie Murray and Henry X. Carrillo. She is survived by her sweet son, Jacob David Murray; parents Claudia and George Hernandez; brothers, Anthony, and George Alex Hernandez; grandmother, Alice G. Cipriani, several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation for Kristen will be held Sunday, October 24th at 12pm with a Rosary and Catholic Prayer service to be celebrated at 1pm with interment immediately following at Sunset Funeral Home at 1701 Austin Hwy San Antonio, Texas 78218.
