Kristie Lee Fitzhenry, age 45, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in San Antonio. She was born on January 10, 1971 in South Korea and later adopted by Robert and Blanche Van Asdale. Kristie is an Air Force veteran having served 7 years. She then worked as a canine handler for the U.S. Customs Service, then as a Special Agent for Homeland Security for the past 9 years. She was heavily involved in charitable groups. Kristie was an avid runner and organized several races as fundraisers. Kristie was an excellent mother and raised two beautiful girls, Brittany and Katie.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Blanch Van Asdale. Kristie is survived by her husband, Ryan Fitzhenry; daughters, Brittany Jones and Katie Fitzhenry; father, Robert Van Asdale; father-in-law, Frank Fitzhenry and mother-in-law, Patricia Fitzhenry.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring North Chapel.
