I’m so sorry to hear of Kyle’s passing. He sent me a very nice message last year thanking me for helping him in theatre class in high school. I didn’t realize that a small act of kindness meant so much to him. I’m so glad he took the time to let me know. What a special person! May he rest in peace.

This was from when Kyle visited us and we took him on a sightseeing trip in Norther Oregon. It was in July, I think, and we were very surprised when it started snowing heavily at Mt Hood Lodge.

This is a fun memory of when Kyle came to visit us. He had purchased  some remote-controlled cars and we played for a bit with them. We headed out after this to Vancouver, Canada, for a visit there.

My brother John and I first met Kyle back in the late 1960s when his family and ours lived next door in base housing in Japan. We were all very young then, but it forged a lifelong friendship.
The families then ended up getting stationed in San Antonio for many years, and both sets of parent retired there, so we stayed in touch. Kyle ended up attending SWTSU with me, and then was my best man at my wedding. Even after my wife and I ended up moving to other locations, we could count on him visiting periodically, and we traveled together to several places, including Vancouver, Canada and a cruise up the Inside Passage to Alaska with him and his sister.
My brother and I were able to get in one last visit when his health problems became worse back in November of last year. I'm glad we did.
He's one of the few people I could just call when I felt like sharing something, and not being able to do that is like having a limb amputated.
Kyle, we love you and miss you. Lynnette and Art, we're here for you.

Thank God I had the chance to visit with Kyle this past November.  I'm rarely in San Antonio but every time I've come back Kyle made time to get together with his old partner in mischief. I still can't wrap my head around him being gone. He's missed every single day.

I came to know Kyle when I first moved to San Antonio. He was one of my IT directors, but he quickly became my friend and a friend of the family. We spent many evenings together, drinking whiskey and eating BBQ out on the ranch. Kyle often wandered around, capturing photographs of the wildlife or the distant lightning on the horizon. His presence and friendship brought warmth and joy into our lives, and he will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Kyle.

Kyle was a true friend.  We were friends for 30 years and was the best man in my wedding.  I knew Betty Klein before I knew Kyle.  The world has lost a very special person.  Kyle was incredibly smart and kind.  He helped us start up our business and was just an all around GREAT guy and friend.  We will miss you!!!

Kyle was part of my circle of friends in high school.  We reconnected years after graduation, and married.  Though the marriage ended, we made our peace and kept in touch through the years. 

I will remember his big, boisterous laugh that filled the room.  Spelunking stories, lively holidays, delighting in the little joyful moments of life.  I was moved by his presence and compassion at my mother’s memorial.  Life was often complicated for Kyle, but he rose above and forged his own way.  He will be deeply missed.  Cross the Veil in peace and love, my friend.  You are free.
