

He was born in Lafayette, LA and was a graduate of Landry High School and McNeese State University in Lake Charles. He married his first wife Jeanne Judice Gossen on October 11, 1968. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army when honorably discharged. They moved to San Antonio in 1979. Larry was employed by General Dynamics in California and by Datapoint and Xytronics, Ltd. in San Antonio.
At his death he was Vice-President of Manufacturing Operations for Xytronics, Ltd. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Gossen and father, Richard N. Gossen. Larry is survived by his second wife, Becky Gossen; son, Tobey J. Gossen and wife Jennifer; daughter, Gretchen Gossen Hull and husband Wade; step-children, Maggie Stoughton of San Antonio, Ryan Stoughton of Tacoma, WA; grand-daughters, Ava Jeanne Hull and Landrey Claire Gossen; mother, Sarah Tobey Gossen; brothers, Dick Gossen and wife Tish, Dean Gossen and wife Becky, Debbie Bell and husband Jeff; Della Vaughan and husband Sterling, and Mary Ann Taylor and husband Jonathan; many nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.
Larry and Becky enjoyed traveling, motorcycle riding, attending bike rallies and spoiling their grandchildren. They were able to see one of the final Space Shuttle launches. The family will receive friends at Porter Loring Mortuary North on Sunday April 24, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm.
