Larry Roy Hortick, age 80, passed away on August 24, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on January 5, 1943, also in San Antonio. Larry is survived by his wife, Joyce Hortick; his daughter, Judge Christine Hortick; and grandchildren, Charlotte and Harrison. Larry also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Hortick; mother, Antonia Hortick; brothers, David and Edward Hortick; and his sister Susan Hortick.
Larry attended Fox Tech High School before serving in the U.S. Navy. In his free time, Larry could be found watching a sci fi TV show, playing golf, or taking care of his cats. In his later years he developed an interest in genealogy, politics, and the environment. The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
