Larry was born on January 18, 1954, in Paris, Texas, to Glen and Laura Parks. He built a life rooted in dedication, love, and hard work. Larry spent more than 40 years with AT&T, formerly Southwestern Bell, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.
Above all, Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished time with his family and took great pride in being “Poppy” to his grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Laura Parks. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Parks; his children, Colin Parks and Courtney Parks Fraser and her husband Nick; his brother, Randy Parks, his wife Vickie, and niece Amanda Parks; his sister, Tracey Parks Bennett, and nephews Braiden and Blaine Bennett; and his grandchildren, Lillian and Reid Fraser.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway. A reception will follow.
