

LaVerne “Dolly” Loef Dresser, Wife of Ralph Dresser, Col. USAF Retired, passed away at Northeast Baptist Hospital on Sunday, 6th of June, 2021, at 88 years old. Dolly is survived by her husband of 69 years in marriage plus 4 years of friendship/engagement, and her four daughters, Susan Kaneer, Sharon Dresser, Sandra Cooper, and Terri Skinner. She also has three granddaughters, Wendy Skinner, Mallory Skinner, and Morgan Cooper.
Dolly was born in San Antonio, Texas on the 24th of July, 1932, to Tom and Mary Loef. Dolly’s passing was preceded by her parents; brother, Thomas Loef; sister, Lois Degen; and infant son, Michael Wayne (1954). Dolly attended school at St. Gerard’s and St. Mary’s Downtown and graduated in 1950. She became an outstanding Air Force wife on the 2nd of August, 1952, with her two priest cousins officiating. As a Devoted Mother, she maintained a loving home for her four girls despite making over 20 family moves in a 30-year Air Force career. Dolly volunteered her ongoing love and services in many educational, fire department, military, and community organizations.
Dolly was one of the most gracious people on this Earth; her warmth and sincerity always shined through! She had a wonderful talent for making others feel welcomed and important, which was her essence throughout her life. She was a wonderful listener who always wanted to get to know others and hear their stories. Dolly was a very outgoing person who made lasting friends easily. She maintained her many high school friendships throughout her life as best friends and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
