LaVerne Hazel, age 80, died on Wednesday, October 16, 2002, in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from Evant High School and received a Bachelors Degree from Wayland Baptist University. She was preceded in death by, husband, Willie C. Hazel; father, Thomas H. Alexander; mother Delphia Glover Alexander; step-mother, Stella H. Alexander, brothers, Marvin Alexander and J.B. Alexander. She is survived by children, Thomas F. Hazel, Judy E. and husband, Frank Wade and Verna Lee and husband, Charles Wood; brothers, Leamon G. and wife, Rosalie Williams and Stanley E. Williams; sister, Bettye J. and husband, Gene Ray; grandchildren, Kimberly D. Magnuson, Dana L. Whitmire, Rhianna L. Ramirez, Stoney R. Smith, Susan McDonald and Michael Brown; and seven great-grandchildren.
