Lawrence G. Hansen, Jr.

Lawrence G. "Larry" Hansen, Jr. age 74, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 in San Antonio. He was born on April 8, 1939 in San Antonio, TX, to parents, Lawrence and Helen Hansen. Larry was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School where he was an outstanding athlete and continued his education at Southwest Texas State College. He was Owner/Operator of ABC Rug Works, a member of the Masonic Lodge 1079, Alzafar Shrine and the Royal Order of Jesters, and a member of the San Antonio Executive Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Gary Hansen; grandson, Seth Hansen; and granddaughter, Baby Girl Hurley. Larry is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 57 yrs, Jo Ann Harlow Hansen; daughter, Ginger Hurley and husband, Dan; son, Lawrence G. "Trey" Hansen III; daughter, Betsey Hansen Baker; sister, Carol Keeter and husband, Jim; brother, Michael A. Hansen and wife, Rita; grandchildren, Aaron, Carly Jo, and Devin Baker, Cody, Emily, and Ryan Hurley, Nikki and Cody Hansen; sister-in-law, Linda Hansen Masters and husband, Rusty; numerous aunts; niece, Kimberly Stoner; nephews, Jimmy Keeter, Michael Hansen, Jr., Gray Hansen, Brett Hansen, Barrett Hansen; cousins, Richard Ressling, Jerry Wayne Ressling; and his four beloved childhood friends, Clatis Drain, Charlie Eads, Bo Lybecker, and Ben Nowotny. The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert G. Szewc and the entire staff at San Saba Dialysis Center for their support and care over the last eleven years.
