Lawrence attended Texas A&I University in Corpus Christi and proudly served his country with two tours of duty in Vietnam. His military service took him throughout the world, creating a lifetime of experiences and memories that he cherished.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Nelda Heitzman, and a loving father to his daughters, Karrie J. Lacour; Dr. Cheryl Hull (Joe); Eva Lisa Ratley; and Cindy Kesting (Michael). He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Megan Lacour, Jack Ratley, Mitchell Ratley, Grace Ratley, Hudson Kesting, and Matthew Kesting, who brought him great joy.
Lawrence was a faithful member of Hillside Fellowship Church and was known for his devotion to his family, his service to his country, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas 78232. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio, Texas 78266.
Lawrence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
