Mary and family, We love you all very much and are missing Larry with you. He was a very special man. One of a kind. His love for all of you and for his fellow man was amazing. His ability to share and to teach God's word was a gift direct from God. We were amazed at the number of men who stood up to say they had been discipled by Larry. There is definitely rejoicing in heaven today.

Julie and family:
My prayer is that God would fill you and your family with His peace, comfort and assurance. I know your Father is in God's presence now and although it is difficult for you and your family, He is in a wonderful place. Can you just imagine eternity with our Heavenly Father, what a wonderful promise to those of us who believe.

Mary & Family,
We will miss our cousin, Larry, but delight in his presence with the Lord! Both he and Mary have been a great encouragement to our faith in the past several years!

To Mary and the whole family: 
You have my deepest sympathy. Larry was a fine Christian man. I'll always remember him, especially his sense of humor and passion for teaching others. I learned a lot about the Lord from Larry. God bless you.

This is more what I want to say...tried to place on newspaper online memory book, but would not work: I just heard about Larry's passing On Sunday evening, Father's Day, seems very appropriate for Larry to go on day celebrating fathers. I say that because some people come along and make a fatherly difference in a person's life, along with one's real father, and that is what Larry did or me. He was a spiritual father who took the time to listen and talk with me about numerous important things. He cared and expressed in his unique way and style to important truths to me, granted, sometimes lacking some tact, but it was good! I recent years we reconnected, and he called me "Sunshine" and described our time together as a "slice of heaven". I briefly wondered, if I was the only one he said that to? Soon I realized that he loved so many people and his time with them that for him it was like enjoying sunshine, and a slice (taste) of heaven. Larry was very happy with his life in later years having learned to focus on God and others, rather than his selfish wants; he was growing as I hope we all are. He made that clear with joy in his eyes as he said he came to love serving his wife, instead of the other way around. He embodied freedom, peace and celebration of life - joy - in my eyes. He was not perfect, but held on tightly to the One who is and who brought Larry to Life. In recent years Larry again shared what he was learning, and recimmended several good books and The Message Bible translation, which I love. I am very grateful for knowing him, and pray God will touch others' lives as he touched mine through Larry. Finally, Larry was very excited about life with the Lord and so many believers in eternity, where I realize he will fully experience supernatural sunshine and a BIG slice of heaven...even all of it! Hallelujah! I know so many will miss him very much. God bless his family and friends who were blessed by God in Larry, as I was. Thank you Mary for loving Larry when he was unlovable, giving him grace, thus leading him to Christ. Finally, Larry recently shared from Psalms a verse about God calling us to meet with him and a part says, "Lord, I am coming." Well, Larry has arrived face to face with the Lord he loves, Whom he prayed, "Lord, you take over". I look forward to seeing Larry, again!

I remember Larry so well. I worked for him for 6 years. He displayed a godly character and was very much into discipling men during his lunch hour. He loved sharing the gospel. Books and Bibles were his passion. It was truly an honor to work for him. He had a great team as well.

While I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Heppes personally, his character traits of kindness, generosity genuine goodness and moral character are staples in the lives of his children and grandchildren. May the love and support of your family and friends and the many great memories provide comfort to you.

I'm sending my sincerest condonences and wish that I could be with you all. My father, Russ Martin, used to manage the Scripture Stall. Mr. Heppes would allow me to come "work" with him through out the years. That was my first "job". :) I have so many fond memories of those days and will miss Mr. Heppes' easy smile, laughter and "let's get it done" attitude. Every time I saw him, Mr. Heppes would boom, "Well, how's it goin' Alicia?" Sigh. I will miss you, Mr. Heppes. Thanks for having such a profound impact for so many years on my family's life. I know that you spent many hours with my father. You taught my brother how to shake hands properly. :) You allowed the two of us to learn a strong work ethic from the time we were young, and you showed us that business isn't always business, it's about showing people Jesus. You mean the world to us all.
