Lawrence Joiner Jr.

Lawrence Joiner, Jr, age 57, went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2014 in Converse, TX. He was born on August 24, 1956 in Macon, MS. He retired from the U.S. Army after 19 years of service. He later worked at SAWS (San Antonio Water System) for over 13 years. Lawrence was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Joiner, Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Ann Joiner; mother, Inell Joiner; 2 daughters, Latrisha Goodwin & her husband, Timothy and Shamona Dixon & her husband Ypres Thomas; 4 grandchildren, Mia Cruz, Amerie Dixon, Bryce Goodwin and Bryana Goodwin; brother, Gilbert Joiner; sisters, Rose Ann Wiburn, Shirley Perry and Loistine Wilbon; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, February 10, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church, 6142 FM 78, San Antonio, TX 78244.
