It is with great sadness, but eternal love, that the family and friends have gathered together to say goodbye to Lawrence “Ed” Keller Sr. On November 13, 2020, Ed passed on to his eternal home with the Lord. We know in our hearts that his love will always be with us and that someday we will see him again.
Ed was born in Pennsylvania on May 2, 1943 to his mother, Florence Cunningham and his father, Lawrence W. Keller. There were 11 children including Betty (Keller) Bradley, Don Keller, Jim Keller, Fay (Keller) Newcumber, Gary Keller (who died at birth), Dorris (Keller) Paulin, Nancy (Keller) Ward, Kathy (Keller) Combs, Kenneth Keller, and Juanita (Keller) Moulder.
Ed was preceded in death by many other loved ones including his parents, his first wife Margaret Suhanek, his son Jason Keller (June 2, 2020), and many special friends and loved ones.
Ed was survived by his wife of 39 years Pat (Mares) Keller, his brother Kenneth Keller, his sister Juanita (Keller) Moulder, his son Lawrence E. Keller Jr. and wife Heidi Keller, his daughter Jacqueline (Keller) Neff, his grandson Nicholas Keller, his granddaughter Hailey Neff, and his great-grandson Kairo Robles. He is also survived by Jana Kercheville, Vita Ruiz, Paul Gannon, Barbara Greebon, Janice Rushton and many other close and special friends.
Ed spent 20 years in the Air Force working with budgets and finances. He worked very hard to learn all he could about each and every project he was involved with. He retired, but soon went back to the military life in a civil service position. Again, he learned everything he could about each project. He was known as “Mr. Budget” and enjoyed his work immensely. He knew each project in detail and quickly addressed any problems. He really enjoyed the work and the people he worked with. He had 100% dedication to his coworkers. He was so dedicated that he would carry a pocket calculator at all times and even in retirement had to have a pocket in every shirt.
Ed’s dedication to work was surpassed only his dedication to his family, especially his children. His love for them would always come first. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was very smart and funny as well. He enjoyed playing cards (poker), fishing, hunting, garage sales, coin collecting, checking out antiques, his dog, and visiting with friends.
Lawrence “Ed” Keller Sr. was a good man that will be greatly missed.
