He was born on June 17, 1921, in Enid, OK. He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years, Irene Barnes Thomas.
He served in the US Army for over 30 years receiving two silver stars, a bronze medal, and numerous other honors.
He and his second wife, Grace Thomas, were married in November, 2002. He is survived by Grace, and sons, Thomas J. Thomas, Richard R. Dunlap, and Harold W. Thomas, ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, three sisters and one brother, his step-sons, John, Charles and Frank Cassanova, and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
