Brother, how I miss.It's been very hard for me everyday as I wait for the phone to ring.Your firsts words"It's ALmost tommorrw".I will never forget all the things you did for me and my family.You were my brother, friend, boss.some times you thought you were my father.I willays be grateful to our god for having a brother as good as you.

My Loving & Caring Tio, You will truly be missed! You never stopped coming by Mom's house to see her. There were times she couldn't make it to Church, but you always made time for her and I will always appreciate your loving her the way you did. You and Tio Jesse mean the world to her. She is so proud of her baby brothers. I thank you and honor you with all my heart! To my cousins, be strong and take comfort in the memories of your loving Dad. Oh, how he loved all of you, he was so proud of all his family. I admired him for the strong love he had for not only his children but for his son-n-laws and daughter-n-laws. He always spoke of them with great pride and love, especially Bert. He is so grateful that you are a great and loving father to this grandchildren. My fondest memories, when I was growing up, is that on most of his visits to us at Mom's I would do Manicures for him. I thought WOW, I get to do something for my Tio, to me as a child that meant alot. His warm embrace and loving person that he was made me feel so special. I thank God for all the wonderful memories! I never knew Mr. Gallegos, but he leaves behind a legacy and many impressions upon many hearts there in his home town and abroad. One impression that he leaves is the life of his niece Gracie Gallegos Casias. Gracie is a reflection of him. Her care, consideration, love, laughter and heart are cut out of this mold. I will be forever grateful to the Gallegos family; I thank you for blessing and sharing a portion of your hearts with me through Gracie. God bless you Mr. Gallego. Earth is poorer, Heaven is richer!

To the Gallego Family; I have so many fond and great memories everytime that I had the oppurtunity to go down to San Antonio. It hurts me deeply inside when I can't be down there. I will always remember that my Great Tio Lazaro always embraced me with his strong arms and his heartwarming smile as if I were one of his own. He always made me feel like a better and stronger person inside when I was in his presence. I felt his courage, strength, passion for life in those moments and now I feel sorrow that my Great Tio Lazaro has left. I know that the Lord will embrace my Great Tio with open arms to the Kingdom of Heaven, just like the way my Tio Lazaro embraced me. My blessigs and my love go out to all my family in San Antonio.

Uncle Lazaro was a fine man who will be missed. My condolences to the family.

My Precious Tio, More than my father's brother, you were my friend, my mentor, my counselor, my advisor, always by my side and on my side. When it was a silly joke, you'd laugh with me, when it was a sad moment, you'd cry with me. You always let me know that I could call upon you for anything, anytime. I tried to think of one moment, one memory that stood out from the rest but there wasn't just one, there are so many that it would take me days to put into writing. How blessed I am to have had you in my life. How blessed I am to have learned from your example and your advice. How blessed I am that you took so much time and interest in my life no matter where I lived, near or far. How blessed I am to have been a part of your family. I miss you so much and wish I could have been there for you. You are greatly missed and will never be forgotten. I will truly miss his beautiful smile that made me want to smile too. 
His firm hand shake that always made me fill he was happy to see me.

His words of wisdom that made me want to stop and think again. 
His heart of gold that let me know he loved me. Because I know that my Tio knew where he was going from here I want to share these words to a song I heard. I don?t know who wrote it or sang it I just know it has comforted me in times like these. It's called IT DON?T MATTER

My uncle was a great man with a great presence. No matter whom I introduced him to, he left a great impression. Years have passed and many still ask for him. I have many memories from my childhood to my adulthood and they were all so special because he made me feel that he cared and loved me. After my dad pased 25 years ago, and when I would see you dad, he always had that great big hug that I missed so much from my dad that after that hug, it always left me speechless and breathless. He always told me to be strong and trust in the Lord. He had gone thru life and he knew that I would need those words. He was to be a single parent when your mom died just like I would be after my divorce. Those words of wisdom I will never forget, I would come to the feet of Christ as a child clings to his mother. Your dad held those words in his heart to the end. I thank my God for the opportunity to be there with you all during this difficult time. It had been years that I had not seen many of you, but once I did, I understood the great love that he had for you all. He was thankful not just for you but for your mates. He loved them as they were his own. He was greatful for them. I was there in October and he showed me with great pride his latest addition to his family - printed pictures from the internet - Lilly Belle Gallego. His gold were his family. He knew life as it should be, full. I pray that God gives you what he has given me throughout my life - the comfort of knowing that God is there with you through this time of grief of his loss. In Psalm 23:4: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Death casts a frightening shadow over us because we are entirely helpless in his presence. We can struggle other enemies - pain, suffering, disease, injury - but strength and courage cannot overcome death. It has the final word. Only one person can walk with us through death's dark valley and bring us over to the other side - the God of life, our shepherd. Because life is uncertain, we should follow this shepherd who offers us eternal comfort. My deepest sympathy to all my family in Texas. How I wish I could be there to pay my last respects to my Uncle that was so very special. Fortunate that I just started a new job after being unemployed for a bit of time but unfortunate that I do not have any time to take. Being so far away yet so close at heart I remeber every summer as a child how my uncle opened up his home to us children from Chicago. I hope I can be as good of an Aunt to my nieces and nephews as he was an Unlcle to me. My best memory I have is when he took us to his camp I experienced something that I will never eperience again and that was to clean and eat a deer. My Uncle how awesome of a man he was. A SAD GOODBYE TO AN ADMIRABLE MAN WHO WILL BE SORELY MISSED BY MANY.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle Lazaro. I'll always remember him as a dynamic, jovial and strong man. With sympathy; Al Gomez & Di Yin

I never met Mr. Gallego , but I know his son Ben. Ben has always proud, respectful, and loving of his dad. Mr Gallego lives on in the loving family he created. I know he is in the loving arms of God.

It was a pleasure taking care of Mr. Gallego during his stay at Methodist Specialty & Transplant hospital. Even though the ICU staff did not know him, we know he was loved. It was shown by his family and friends everday during hi stay with us. To the family, God Bless to you all and thank you for everything you shared with us during your time of need. It was our pleasure caring for Mr. Gallego.

A true honor to care for such a wonderful man. Obviously a loving father,grandfather, brother and husband. May he shine through all of you each and everyday.
