Leanne Sorenson

She was a graduate of Holmes High School in San Antonio, Texas, and attended Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. She completed training with the Montessori Institute of Atlanta, and taught in Montessori schools in San Antonio, surrounding areas and in Japan.

LeAnne possessed a powerful spirit and was passionate about advocating for the rights of the underdog. She loved celebrating holidays. For LeAnne any special occasion meant spending time with family and friends. She had a kind, strong heart and was generous beyond her means.

She will be missed dearly by those who survive her: her father, Bruce Sorenson; her sisters, Chrissie Cohen Andy, Jan Sorenson Jay Aalsma and Jody Sorenson; her niece, Hannah Cohen; and her nephews, Eli Cohen and Quinn and Mickey Theis.

Her mother, Alice Sorenson, preceded her in death by ten months and her sister, Alisa Jean Sorenson, died in 1991. Now her spirit is joining theirs and LeAnne is inexhaustibly joyous and at peace.

A private family graveside service will be held on July 3, 2008 at Mission Burial Park North.
