

As a school photographer for over 30 years, he photographed school children throughout South Texas. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and playing golf.
A native of Idaho, he met his wife, Irene, while he was stationed in Fort Sam Houston. They settled and raised their family in South Texas. Lee is preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Calfee in 1969 and his brother, Bernard Calfee.
He is survived by his wife, Josie Calfee; daughters, Sandra Grist and husband, Gary of San Antonio, TX and Jo Ann Calfee and husband, David Wolff of Seattle, WA; step-daughter, Patsy Koenig and husband, Shirl of San Angelo, TX; step-son, Cecil Robbins and wife, Jan of Junction, TX; grandchildren: Amy Laden and husband, Ryan; Alissa Grist; Kelly Eben and husband, David; Robin Johnson; Darrell Garrett and wife, Susan; eight great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Randall and husband, Frank; sister-in-law, Lorene Koepp and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lee will always be remembered for his optimism in life, his unforgettable smile, and those sparkling blue eyes.
The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to Dr. Pho, Dr. Trakhtenbrolt and the nursing staff on 6th South at Methodist Hospital for their kindness and care of Lee throughout his stay.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.

Interment in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
