Following his four years of service in the Air Force, he spent fifty years in the trucking industry. He was in partnership with Bee Trucking. He was an avid antique car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his family at their West Texas ranch.
He is survived by his wife Marinell; daughter, Kassie Hawkins Paul; granddaughter Holly Grace; step-children, Janey Zimmer Peter, Kerry Caves Janine, Phil Caves Cindy; several grandchildren; and niece and nephew, Jill Barringer and Michael Howard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the hospice or charity of your choice.
