Leigh Anne McKnight, age 36, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on May 16, 1984, the first child of Beth Wichman and the third daughter of Michael Feigen, in San Luis Obispo, California.
As a child, she had beautiful red locks, and resembled a Raggedy Ann doll, thus earning the nickname “Annie”. She was a talented artist and swimmer, earning accolades in art competitions and the swimming pool alike. As a high school athlete, she helped secure victory for the Churchill and Reagan girls’ team at the state level on multiple occasions.
Leigh attended Trinity University and the University of Texas San Antonio, where she earned a degree in Criminal Justice. A hard worker and dedicated employee, Leigh worked as a Probation Officer for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department. However, Leigh’s true passion was being a mother to her son Maddax and a wife to her husband Kevin.
Her favorite hobbies included cooking gourmet meals for her family, hiking in the park, shopping with her mother, and creating arts and crafts to share with her loved ones. Forever the “big sister”, she loved spoiling her younger sister and brother, guiding them through the peaks and troughs of life, and engaging with her nephews.
Leigh is survived by her husband Kevin; three-year-old son Maddax; mother Beth Wichman; father Michael Feigen; brother James Feigen; sister Lynn Swartzlander; sister Alicia Adrian; sister Susan Brandon; and her nephews Andrew and Theo Swartzlander. Leigh McKnight was a bright flame that warmed all those surrounding her, and her light continues to shine as we celebrate her life and honor her memory.
