He was born in Aspermont, TX on June 25, 1917.
He was a Past Worshipful Master of Davy Crockett Lodge 1225 AF&AM where he was a brethern for 45 years. He was also a member of the Alzafar Shrine Temple and a Past Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star Alamo Heights Chapter.
Leonard was also in the U.S. Navy WWII Pacific Theater, a master carpenter, a world traveler, a VA Hospital Volunteer and a motor home enthusiast.
He is preceded in death by his wife Catherine Pinson.
He is survived by his sons, Henry Sonny Weltner and his wife Casandra of San Antonio and L. Richard Pinson and his wife Georgeanne of Elgin, TX; grandchildren, Melissa Watson and her husband, John of Buffalo, TX, Lauren Nicole Pinson of College Station, TX, Richard Pinson of Elgin, TX; brother, Norman Pinson; sisters, Ella Mae Altman and Ama Nell Young
