

She was born to John G. Coronado and Isabel O. Felan, both of San Antonio, on October 6, 1917. Nora was a ninth generation descendant of San Antonio's first Canary Island settlers.
She graduated in 1934 from Main Street High School, now known as Fox Tech High School. Nora will be greatly missed by her family and friends alike. She was always ready to bring out her guitar at family get-togethers and sing. Nora was Choir Director at St. Agnes Catholic Church from the time she was in grade school until the day before her marriage. She and her husband owned Jesse and Henry's Texaco Service Station on West Commerce Street for over 25 years.
Nora was also very active in the community as a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary during her son's tour in the military.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John G. Coronado and Isabel O Felan; husband of 59 years, Jesus T. Garcia; brother, Daniel; sister, Alice; granddaughter, Rebecca.
Nora is survived by her daughter, Yolanda McKinney; sons, Jesse, Eddie, Roger, Danny and Johnny; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Bertha Vasquez and Esther Trujillo.
