Lila Jane Wilson, age 90, passed away with her daughters by her side on April 9, 2014. She was born on November 2, 1923 in San Antonio, TX to John Henry & Emily Meisenhelder. She was a lifelong resident of San Antonio. She retired from SWB/AT&T in 1983 and was a member of St. Matthews UMC. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and lead a very full life.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her first husband, S. J. Hammonds; sister, Enola and her brother, John Henry, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Sidney Wilson; daughters, Elaine Hammonds and Shirleen K. Smith & her husband Hank; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7pm, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 12 noon, Monday, April 14, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #3 (Roselawn).
