Linda overcame many obstacles to become a happy semi-independent adult. She touched the lives of many people throughout the years; her joy was simple and contagious.
Linda was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 5, 1956, the fourth child of Constance and Brad Aust. As an adult, RMI (Reaching Maximum Independence Inc.) provided a nurturing structure that allowed Linda to live with her close friends, Patrice and Ruth Anne, and her caregiver "sista" Rita Brown. Linda enjoyed bowling, eating out and spending time with her siblings and their growing families, especially the babies.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Joe Bradley Aust and grandparents, Joe and Edith Aust and Robert and Olive MacMullin.
Linda is survived by her mother, Connie Aust; siblings, Jay Aust, Bonnie Aust, Barbara Hodge, Mary Lou Gallion and Tracey Norment and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family expresses grateful thanks to RMI, the Unicorn Center and the ARC for their wise and caring support of the developmentally disabled.
