Linda S. Coleman passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on August 13, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 77. Born on June 6, 1949, to Laura and Douglas Scherer, Linda was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. A devoted Christian, she lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. She found joy in traveling, sewing, cooking, hosting dinner parties, and playing Bridge with friends. Linda had a deep passion for education and dedicated much of her adult life to teaching History, Geography, and English at Castle Hills First Baptist School and later at Lackland Air Force Base. She touched the lives of countless students through her commitment, encouragement, and love of learning. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie “Mack” Coleman, and her sister, Leslie King. Linda is survived by her sons, Blake Coleman, Cardin Coleman, and Clayton Coleman; her cherished grandchildren, Emmett, Reese, and Callie; her brother, David Scherer; and many loving relatives and dear friends who will miss her greatly. Her kindness, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her.
