Linda Marshall McGrath, age 64, of San Antonio, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2001. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas in Austin in 1958 with a degree in Journalism having served as Associate editor of the Daily Texan. Since graduation she has been a member of the Texas-Ex Alumni Association. She later served as editor of the Southwest Research Newsmagazine. Her most important career was as a loving wife and mother in her home. She was a longtime substitute teacher in Alamo Heights Independent School District. She enjoyed her monthly visit with her Bunco Pals. Survivors: loving and devoted husband of 43 years, James E. McGrath; daughter, Kathleen L. Rynkowski and husband Leonard; sons, Donnie McGrath and wife Peanut, and John McGrath; daughter, Patty McGrath; granddaughter and joy of her life, Caly Rynkowski; step-grandson, Curtis Jones; several brothers, sisters and a host of nieces and nephews.
