There will be space available on the walls of the Flying saucer, the competition has lost a great contender. Linda Jolly Rowe, age 72, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. Linda was born in Kerrville, Texas and soon moved to San Antonio in her infancy. Linda attended MacArthur High School, where she was active in the Brahmas dance team, and student council activities. Linda graduated from Trinity University with a bachelors of Science degree in Psychology, a degree that she put to good service over many girls nights shared between her friends and sister. Linda eventually moved on to become a distribution center manager in the A/C industry, where she led a successful career. She met the love of her life, her beloved husband, Bob Rowe, in 1989. They married on October 12, 1990. They traveled throughout the world, skiing and cruising the oceans. Together they raised their three children and enjoyed all of the blessings of grandparenting.
Her laugh was infectious, which left a great memory in everyone’s head. She had a genuine sweet personality. Linda found great joy in entertaining, throwing large parties for all the friends she and Bob had over the years, holidays with family and preparing her family traditional Hungarian Paprikash. Linda’s greenhouse was overfloweing with ferns and flowers, and she took great joy in feeding the deer, wild birds, and hummingbirds that found their way into the yard, (they were very lucky).
She was preceded in death by father, Finnis Jolly; mother, Betty Sutch Jolly; and her sister, Melissa Jolly. Linda is survived by her husband, Bob Rowe; son, Ryan Matjeka; stepsons, Chris Rowe (Tiffany) and Jeff Rowe (Tara); sister, Barbara Baker (Gary); brother Bill Jolly; alongside numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
