Linda was born in Belleville, Illinois to Joseph and Leona Davis. She spent her first 8 years living with her maternal grandparents, Phillip and Margaret Schuhart, her mother and brother, Stephen Allen Davis. Linda always referred to her childhood in Belleville as a "glorious" time in her life. In the summer of 1957, Linda moved with her family to San Antonio, Texas because her mother relocated from her Civil Service job at Scott AFB to Randolph AFB in Universal City.
After graduating from Jefferson High School, Linda enjoyed a successful career in banking, marketing and public relations allowing her to be part of San Antonio's tremendous growth and success. Over this 38 year period she worked with many fine San Antonio leaders. Linda's organizational skills and ability to "make things happen" led to her incredible reputation in the public relations world of San Antonio.
Linda and her husband Gary really enjoyed their mutual passion for international travel. Throughout their thirty six years of marriage they traveled extensively. They have one beautiful daughter, Katheryn Lee Weaver. Linda's natural exuberance, energy and eagerness to help, made her the perfect volunteer mom throughout Katie's school life, which included involvement in PTA, soccer and volleyball.
Later, Linda assisted her husband in running their family owned business, TimberTech Texas, Inc. where she was the Human Resource Administrator and Secretary to the corporation. Linda was definitely "the go to girl" for TimberTech because of her ability to make everything run smoothly. The epitome of a compassionate, loving and generous spirit, Linda was always there for those near and dear to her heart. From her famous homemade spaghetti baskets to her personally chosen gifts for friends and family, Linda always knew how to make a person feel truly special.
Her generosity and hospitality was unparalleled! Even with her favorite expressions such as "Sweet Friend" or "Pretty Lady" she touched many hearts. Linda will be truly missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her. Linda is survived by her husband, Gary Lee Weaver; her beloved daughter, Katheryn Lee Weaver; her brother, Stephen Alan Davis and wife Sylvia; numerous family and dear friends.
