
Lisa Popp Mitchell, age 38, of West Hollywood, CA, was taken from the world unexpectedly on Sunday, April 28, 2002. She was surrounded by family and loved ones as she planned to move back to her hometown of San Antonio with her husband. Along with being a loving wife and cherished daughter, Lisa also built an impressive résumé. She graduated Cum Laude from St. Edward's University in Austin with a BBA in Accounting in 1986; the University of Texas Graduate School of Business in Austin with a Masters of Professional Accounting, Taxation in 1988; and from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio with a Juris Doctorate in 1995, where she was on the Dean's List. She became a Certified Public Accountant in Texas in 1989, a licensed attorney in Texas in 1995, and a licensed attorney in California in 2000. Her professional memberships included: American Bar Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, State Bar of California, State Bar of Texas, and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Lisa worked for West Coast Economics, LLC in Los Angeles, CA, where she provided litigation support. She is survived by her husband, Corey Mitchell; parents, Ted and Donna Popp; sisters, Leane Popp and Lynn Whalen and husband Mike; brother, Ted Popp, Jr. and wife Connie; in-laws, Carol and Don Mitchell; brothers-in-law, Darrin Mitchell and wife DeDe and Kyle Mitchell and wife Ramona; nieces, Sara Murphy, April Murphy, and Stephanie Bonham; nephews, Craig Bielke, Tres Popp, and Ronnie Mitchell; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
