

Lizabeth Sydney Shefts Shockman, age 56, passed away on Sunday, May 26th at her home in McQueeney, Texas with her family by her side. Lizi grew up in San Antonio, but graduated from high school in Seguin, Texas. She worked at many different careers; one special job led her to meet her wonderful husband, Steve. Lizi's had many great accomplishments in her life but was especially proud of celebrating 27 years of sobriety with her AA family. She loved many different crafts including cross stitching and creating pieces of art out of pecans. Birds were a focal point with her, either being photographed or simply enjoyed while hiking. Of all the things Lizi loved in life, she treasured most her husband, Steve and their blended family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Morton Shefts and sister-in-law, Carla Silen.
Lizi is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Shockman; sons: Michael Shefts, Joshua Shockman, Miguel Shockman; daughter, Yvette Shockman; mother, Joyce Shefts; sister, Patti Small and her husband, Stuart; brother, Leonard Shefts; seven grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and extended family.
