

Serving on numerous boards and committees, Hank made a difference in the lives of many people. He was devoted to the Episcopal Church's and often served as a member of the Vestry.
Saturdays usually found him on the golf course at Oak Hills CC, and he actively participated in running the Texas Open for years. He broke ground for the UTHSC, and served on the Union State Bank board. He was a leader in the United Fund and the San Antonio Symphony Society.
A WWII veteran in the US Army Air Corps, First Lieutenant "Hank" was a navigator, but never told his wife when he was going to be flying! He wrote the master training schedule documentation for all pilot and navigator training during his active duty. After retiring in 1984 as the General Manager of Business Sales, Hank and Margaret explored the world together, as well as acting as sponsors for numerous church tours going to England! Born August 29, 1920, in Harriman, Tennessee, he was the first of his family to attend college and held an MBA from the University of Houston.
He started his career by digging holes for telephone poles, and advanced quickly up the corporate ladder! As a youth, he loved to camp out with friends, played the drums in a band, and played football and basketball for his alma mater!
A daughter, a granddaughter, a grandson, two grandchildren, and a brother and a sister survive Hank. His legacy to San Antonio will live on forever.
