

Lloyd was born on November 9, 1946, in Glenville, West Virginia, to Geraldine and Waitman Tomey. He spent his school years in Steubenville, Ohio, and graduated from Mingo Junction High School.
On November 23, 1968, Lloyd married the love of his life, Jane Nyman, in San Antonio, Texas. Their marriage was one of deep devotion and enduring partnership.
Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Army for two and a half years, including service during the Vietnam War. He was wounded in the line of duty and, in recognition of his bravery, valor, and sacrifice, was awarded the Purple Heart. His service to his country remained a source of pride to both Lloyd and his family.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine and Waitman Tomey, and by his brother, Terry Tomey.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Tomey; his children, Kimberly(Tim) and Corey(Renee); his grandchildren, Craig, Cheyenne, Brianna, Madison, and Gage; and his great-grandchildren, Broden, Skylar, Dawson, Barrett, Lainey, Olivia, Mara, Kailini, Wes, and Brewer. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Funeral services will be held on February 10, 2026, from 2:45 p.m. to 3:05 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Pavilion #5, in San Antonio, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will follow at The Pawn Pub in Universal City, Texas, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend, celebrate Lloyd’s life, and share memories of a man who gave so much to those he loved and to his country.
