

Lonna Rae (Stoltz) Egan Turner, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter. She was born on March 7, 1943, in Kankakee, Illinois to Leota and Clarence Stoltz.
Lonna was outstandingly smart. She was a lifelong reader and enjoyed the Sunday crossword puzzle. She used her intelligence to shape future generations, retiring as a 20-year elementary school teacher.
She was fiercely independent while loving a martini or glass of wine with good friends. She was a big Elvis fan and on occasion you could find her dancing to his classics. Her unique wit kept her family and friends on their toes and always laughing.
Her family was everything to her and she absolutely adored being a grandma. Her family loved her sense of humor and incredible cooking that she brought to every gathering. Her family will continue her legacy through her signature recipes like her lasagna and red velvet cake.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale Turner; and sister, Cheryl English. Lonna is survived by her daughter, Erin C. Larsen (Scott); son, Matthew W. Egan; grandchildren, Megan Viator (Casey), Matthew Larsen, Melissa Larsen Phillips, Madison Egan, and Michael Egan; 1 great granddaughter on the way, Sawyer James Viator; siblings, Barb Williamson, Becky Sangster, and James Stoltz; brother-in-law, Joel English; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
