Lorraine M. Carlson

Lorraine M. Carlson was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on November 15, 1929 to Edward Floyd & Bessie Lucille (Boch) Long, and danced into eternity on July 9, 2011 at the age of 81. She worked for the Northeast Independent School District for 25 years and was also a member of the Martinez Social Club. She loved to dance and garden. She was a dedicated and loving mother of 6 children. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Connie M. Carlson; and grandson, Clayton P. Bowen. Surviving are her children, Reesa Doebbler and husband, Howard, Johnny Carlson, Robby Carlson, Dale Carlson, Robin Karam and husband Joe; grandchildren, Carley and Tori Karam, Christopher, Devin and Patrick Carlson; spouse of 39 years, H. Johnny Carlson; niece, Vicky Whitaker; and great-niece, Addie Whitaker. Lorraine’s family would like extend a special thank you to the staff of Odyssey Hospice for the loving care provided to her. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
