
Lorraine Pepper Lauterstein, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on December 09, 2007 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Denver, Colorado to Pauline and Max Pepper. She graduated from East High in Denver and shortly after moved to San Antonio.
She was a lifelong member of Temple Beth-El. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 64 years, Herbert S. Lauterstein, as well as her parents, Pauline and Max Pepper, and siblings, Gert and Joe Pepper, Louise and Freeman Pepper, and Francis Pepper. She is survived by her children, Terry and Russell Davis, Marscha and Tommy Lauterstein, and Nancy Martin. Her grandchildren are Leslie and Mike Met, Rachel and Jordan Lauterstein, Kathryn and Greg Davis, Carrie Lauterstein, and Matthew Martin. Lorraine was blessed with seven great grandchildren, Maggie, Norman, and Claire Davis, Jacob and Cameron Lauterstein, Ethan and Lauren Met. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Norma Pepper of Denver, Colorado.
The family deeply appreciates Irma Sosa who for over 34 years has taken such good care of Lorraine, and the wonderful and loving care and support provided by her physicians, everyone at the DaVita Dialysis Center, her caregivers, and Vitas Hospice.
Lorraine's whole life was centered around her family which she adored. Most of all, her family will be forever grateful and blessed by her incredible commitment and the boundless love which she provided to her family all of her life.
