Lottie Louise Fortson

Lottie Louise Fortson, age 66, entered into her final rest on the Lord's Day, September 30, 2001 in San Antonio. She was born on March 8, 1935 in Abilene, TX to Eugene and Lottie Lang, who preceded her in death. Her husband since December, 1954, William E. Fortson, will miss her deeply. She served the Lord faithfully as a Pastor's wife for over 35 years and a Missionary to India for 7 years. She will leave an empty place in the hearts of her children, Marc and Cindy Fortson of San Antonio, Myra and Terry Unruh of Sri Lanka, Byron and Karen Fortson of San Antonio, Karen and Jim Whiteley of San Antonio, and Greg and Jill Fortson of Abilene. She has 11 grandchildren precious to her, and her only brother, Harlan and Lynn Lang of Houston. She touched the lives of her extended family, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many dear and special friends. She also had one grandson, Colby Whiteley, whom she was reunited with in heaven. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Independent Baptist Ministries of India, P.O. Box 1985, Stillwater, OK 74076-1985.
