CMSgt (Ret) Louis John Konze, Jr. was born November 8, 1930 in Blanco, Texas. He went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on August 22, 2022. He was the fifth of five children born to Laura and Louis Konze, Sr. He married Joan Du Barry Morgan in 1951. It was a marriage that lasted 70 years until her sudden death in February, 2022. He is predeceased by his wife, many family members, dear friends Bob McGar and Dick Pialet, and his dog, Timmy.
Louis (Lou) dedicated the early part of his life to proudly serving our country by enlisting in the USAF in 1950. Twenty six years in the Air Force took him to 10 duty stations. His wife and daughters, Sharon Reinsch (Gary), Linda Little (John) and Kathy Alt (Scott) became a tight-knit military family, always ready for the next adventure.
After retiring from the military, Lou enjoyed a second, successful career as a Farmers Insurance agent. He enjoyed the freedom of owning his own successful business.
Lou and Joan joined St. Matthew church soon after it was founded, and were members for 50 years.
He loved his family, hunting, fishing, the Cowboys and the Astros. Perhaps second only to his love for his family was his love for the Fightin Texas Aggies.
In addition to his daughters, sons-in-law, and cherished friend, Kathy Bothwell, "Pop" leaves his deeply loved grandchildren: Joe Little (Priya); Brett Aderhold (Christina); Andrew Little (Anais); Chad Aderhold (Rachael); Sara Reinsch (fianc, Jorge Cruz); Morgan Zientek (Zane) and Brandon Alt; and 11 great-grandchildren.
We take comfort knowing that he is with Jesus.
