

Louis Franklin Lehman, age 80, joined his Lord and Savior on Sunday June 1, 2014 after a courageous struggle with leukemia. He was born in the small town of Westphalia Texas to Franklin and Katie Lehman on April 18, 1934 and was a graduate of Lott High School. He proudly and honorably served his country on active duty in the USAF for 24 years followed by 16 years of Civil Service as the Director of Reprographics Division, HQATC. Louis was a quiet and strong man of faith and moral values throughout his life and provided endless inspiration to family and friends. He loved to travel, play golf, fish, and was an avid gardener and skilled craftsman. He married his beloved wife, formerly Shirley Ann Holtman, in Westphalia Catholic Church in 1957 and they traveled through life together for 57 years.
Louis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lehman, his son and daughter-in-law Raymond and Deena Lehman, his daughters and sons-in-law Debbie and Darrell Warbington, and Donna and Kevin Drawdy, sisters and brother Evelyn Zeig, Bea Langford, George Lehman, Catherine Lindeman, and Judy Adams. He had seven blessed grandchildren, Jackie, Ryan, Jason, Erika, Mandi, Tommy and Katie, and one great-granddaughter, Ariana, and many loving nieces and nephews. Louis is preceded in death by his parents, sister and brothers, Alberta Goertz, Gilbert, Leo, and Kenneth, and granddaughter Erika.
A celebration of his life will begin with the visitation on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 5PM to 9PM at Sunset North Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7PM. A funeral mass with be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Honey Creek Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
Louis had a special place in his heart for the Air Force Memorial and Wounded Warrior foundations.
