Louisa Andrea Longoria Dougherty

Born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 12, 1968, to George and Henrietta Longoria, Louisa was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. As the oldest of six children, she was a natural leader and caregiver from a young age, roles she would embrace throughout her life. After graduating from Providence High School, she married her soulmate, Michael Dougherty, and together they built a beautiful life.

Louisa was a devoted mother to three wonderful boys and a doting grandmother to her beloved grandson. Her family was the center of her universe, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her love extended to a wide circle of cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.

A dedicated employee, Louisa retired from USAA after more than 20 years of service. She was known for her strong work ethic and the lasting friendships she made with her colleagues.

Louisa will be remembered for her kind heart, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering love for her family. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone she met, leaving a permanent mark on their hearts. Louisa’s legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely. May her memory bring comfort and joy to all who knew her.

Louisa was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as her beloved cousin, John Longoria, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-three wonderful years, Michael; her three sons- Matthew, Robert, and Christopher; her grandson, Travis; her five siblings; and a host of adoring family and friends.

Services will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Church of the Blessed Sacrament, located at 600 Oblate Dr., San Antonio, Texas 78216. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the rosary at 10:30 a.m., the funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., and a reception immediately afterward.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Louisa's name.
