

First and foremost, Louise was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her boundless love surrounded her immediate and extended family. This same quality extended to all of her friends and friends of friends. Louise was always there for each and everyone. Most importantly, my wife of 41 years was always there for me. There is, and only will be, one Louise. Louise was active in many civic and social organizations and through her family had been instilled with a great sense of her birthright in San Antonio and "Mayflower" heritage. Louisa, Louisa, my wife, my love.
Louise is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hamilton Savage; her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Augustus Holshouser; her uncle, John Hamilton Savage and his wife Dorothy. She is survived by her husband, Richard Charles Batz; her son, Richard Charles Batz, Junior and his wife Ginger Isom Batz; her grandson, Richard Sawyer Batz; her daughter, Laura Hamilton Batz Townsend and her husband Michael Townsend; her grandchildren, Ella Batz Townsend and Mary Louise Hamilton Townsend; her sister, Joanne Ellen Holshouser; her brother, Charles Augustus Holshouser, Junior and his wife Sudie; her nephew, Will Ripley Holshouser and his wife Jenny; her nephew, Carl Kimball Holshouser; her brother, John Hamilton Savage Holshouser; her nephew, John Hamilton Clayton Holshouser and her nephew Thomas Grant Holshouser; her cousins, John Hamilton Savage III, Ann Savage Poinier, Dee Savage Smith, and Cindy Savage Hooper.
