Louise Jetton Briggs

Mrs. Briggs was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Webb Briggs in 1974 and by her two sisters, Lois Hopkins and Scottie Jetton of Dallas, Texas.

She is survived by three children, Robert Webb Briggs, Jr. and wife Barbara of Victoria, Texas, Mary Bridge and Barbara Arneson of San Antonio, Texas. Also survived by six grandchildren, John Robert Bridge and wife Cathy of Austin, Texas, Barbara Bridge, Louise Briggs, Ann Arneson Allen and husband Gus, Lynn Arneson all of San Antonio, Texas, Robert Wright Briggs and wife Angie of Victoria, Texas. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

Her life long interest in gardening, needlework and children's advocacy enriched her life and greatly benefited her family, community and her church. Her special joy was the interest in ranching she shared with her husband.

The family expresses gratitude to Roland Duhart, Delois Lewis, Lillian Newton and Zelma Hargrove for long years of special friendship and service. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Battle of Flowers Association, Charity Ball Association, Laurel Heights Garden Club, San Antonio Country Club and the Argyle Club. She was a strong supporter of the Boys Club and Special Olympics. Special thanks to Dr. Joseph Mc Cracken and his staff. The family expresses appreciation to her loving care givers: Mary, Madolyn, Marie, Alice, Priscilla, Karen and Mary.
