'There are no adequate words but here's an attempt at articulating some of the qualities that drew me to Aunt Louise from the time I was a little girl. When we moved back from Mexico, and my Grandfather's death was eminent, my brother Marc and I stayed with Louise and her 4 boys. I was the only girl, had moved from a foreign country and was a little scared. She was there for me. With stories and comfort. That was the beginning of my special relationship with Aunt Louise. She was larger than life. I loved her conversation. I loved her sense of style - from her amazing accessories to how she put together her home. We could talk about books and ideas - and of course all the people in our lives. I knew if I needed inspiration she could provide it. And I recall how she and my Mom and Dad were so close and such fun company. 
And as life became challenging for my Mom first and then Aunt Louise, they were there for each other, without question. I will always remember my Aunt Louise with a smile in my heart, and think of her when I wear the cool bracelets she gave me, use the Nambe pieces she gave us for our wedding and when I see Gym Shorts, the name she gave my husband - Jim Schwartz. Never to be forgotten. Precious,powerful and inspirational in so many ways.'
