
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hemmant Cole. At the time her death Lovie was a member of Highland Terrace United Methodist Church, where she served in various chairmanships. She was a lifetime member of the PTA, having served in numerous offices at Ursuline Academy, Page Middle School, Brackenridge and Highlands High School.
Lovie was honored as PTA Woman of the Year in 1958 by the San Antonio Express News. She was active in many organizations, both civic and social to include Tuesday Musical Club, Elysian Club, Conservation Society, and the Plumbing and Heating Contractors Auxiliary. Lovie enjoyed playing bridge with two groups for many years.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine Anne and Clyde L. Morrison, and Lovie Jean and Roger L. Haller; grandchildren include Kevin Morrison, Kenneth Morrison and Jane, Keith Morrison and Laura; six great grandchildren, Kyle, Amy, Nicole, Patrick, Austin, and Kaitlyn Morrison; and nieces, Lynn Clardy, June Kirk, and Carol Kerger.
