Lucia T. Rojas

Lucia was preceded in death by her son, Hector Rojas, parents, Basilio & Maria Teniente, her brothers, Carlos Teniente, Thomas Teniente, sisters Maria Teniente, Francia Reyna, Micaela Estala, Pilar Franco and 2 additional brothers Moises and Carlos who gave their lives for their country.

Lucia is survived by her sister, Beatriz Teniente, daughters, Mary Jimenez, Susan Quintero, Blanche Cottrell and husband Ronald, sons, Juan Antonio Rojas, Adam Rojas and wife Kathleen, and Robert Rojas; 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Lucia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the St. Joseph Guadalupanas for many years. She loved to cook. On special holidays, she would have as many of her children & grandchildren as she could gather to make tamales and bunuelos. Anyone visiting her was sure to get fed, even if they said they weren’t hungry. She enjoyed her beer, dancing to Tejano music and gambling at the casino. On Halloween she would sit on the front porch and enjoyed watching the children come up for candy. Their costumes would always make her smile. She enjoyed her visits to the Zoo and Natural Bridge Wildlife Park.

Visitation for Lucia will be held Tuesday, November 5th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. San Antonio TX. Funeral services will also be held at Trevino Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 6th at 10:00 am with a burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2.
