

Lucille C. Wideman, age 80, went to be with the Lord on October 6, 2014 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on August 19, 1934 in Bryan, TX to Archangel Sam Restivo & Lena Altimore Restivo. Lucille was born in Bryan, Texas where she graduated from Stephen F Austin High School at the age of 16 and then attended Draughon Business College. She worked in the Animal Science department at Texas A&M University for 10 years, where she met her sweetheart and future husband, Don. Eventually they moved to Colorado where Don attended Colorado State University and Lucille worked as a Research Assistant in the Agronomy Department. Several years later, San Antonio became home for Lucille and Don. Lucille worked for the City of Leon Valley for four years and then St. Mary’s University School of Law for 18 years as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean where she was highly respected by students, co-workers, and professors. Her passions and hobbies included cooking, crocheting, knitting, sewing, and reading. She also loved caring for her cats. “Lu”, as she was affectionately known, was a proud Christian who touched many people with her grace, compassion, and kindness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Wideman. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Don Wideman; 2 sons, Don Wideman, Jr. & wife Casey of Bryan, Texas and Dean Wideman & wife Brenda; 2 granddaughters, Ally & Kailey Wideman all of San Antonio, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 12pm, Monday, October 13, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ASPCA, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and Hearts of Angels, Inc.
