Mom you will be greatly missed-
Our long phone conversations, our eating ice cream malts, our looking at sunsets while sitting in your truck and sharing memories of dad to name a few things.  You're such a huge part of my/our life.   Blessings Always!

Lucia a dear friend always to my momma. I have so many childhood memories of our families spending time together. My grandmother was your godmother and I remember meeting up with you a lot of times at the Cortez house to see Mrs. Cortez and let her and my grandmother visit while looking at her plants. Then we were lucky to live on the next street from you and visit and how many times did we all go to the river or park with you all.  But time passes and our lives eventually go on to that eternal life we here about and meet up with all our family and friends who have gone before us. I’m sure that by now you have met up with my momma and sharing stories and laughing together. Thank you for having been there with your smile to be a good friend always. You will be missed but will live in the memories you leave for everyone. 

Where do I begin... One of my favorite memories of my Grandma Lucy,  is when I was very young staying with Grandma and Grandpa after any family get togethers (Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving etc) My cousins Gina, Kathy and I would all spend the night, staying up late playing and laughing while Grandpa ate his post-tosties and they watched the 10 O'clock new's followed by Star Trek.  We could hear the train running by their house at night and in the early mornings.  Weekend breakfast was the best.  Grandpa sitting at the table reading the newspaper drinking his coffee and smoking his cigarette while Grandma in the kitchen cooking up a storm that consisted of eggs, bacon, beans, potato and of course tortillas.  (still my all time favorite breakfast)  watching Saturday morning cartoons was awesome (even though we had to be quiet, because Aunt Shiela was sleeping in the adjacent room) .  Then we would go Honky-Donky and if we were lucky enough we were able to catch Charlie (our local ice cream man on his tricycle...)Those were the days.  Love and miss you Grandma.  Thank you for all of the wonderful memories.

I'd like to take a moment to express my sorrow and loss.  To speak of a remarkable person (Lucy) that I loved as a Mom.  I was one of the many that had an opportunity to spend beautiful days and years with her.  I learned a lot from Lucy.  She was one of a kind,  even though she was a very simple person, she had a wittiness about her.  She always appreciated you making time for her.  She loved her children endlessly and saw no wrong.  Lucy loved telling stories of her upbringing and loved to see her roses bloom.  I will miss spending time her,  taking her sweets, getting to see her beautiful smile and her blowing kisses through the window.  Rest in peace.  Love you.  See you in my dreams (put in a good word for us)
