Lucy was a loving, caring, and fun-loving woman whose outgoing personality and joyful spirit touched the lives of those around her. A proud 1975 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, Lucy enjoyed life to the fullest and treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.
She found joy in cooking, dining at her favorite restaurants, hosting Lotería, gardening, and feeding the birds. A devoted San Antonio Spurs fan, Lucy loved cheering on her favorite team. She also enjoyed karaoke, decorating for birthday celebrations, and traveling to her favorite casino destinations, including Las Vegas, Laughlin, Louisiana, and Kickapoo. Her love for adventure also took her to the magical worlds of Disneyland and Disney World, where she made lasting memories.
Above all, Lucy will be remembered for her loving heart, her caring nature, and the fun and laughter she brought into the lives of others. Whether gathering loved ones around the table, celebrating a birthday, or enjoying a game of Lotería, she had a special way of making moments memorable.
Lucy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lucio Trejo and Estella Gonzales, and her son, Michael Martinez.
She leaves behind her loving children, Jonathan Martinez and Melinda Reyes; her brother, Richard Gonzales; her sister-in-law, Rose Regalado-Gonzales; her cherished granddaughter, Alyssa C. Montez; her niece, Ashley Valeria O’Brien; her cousin, Tri Medina and her husband, Sergio Medina; along with extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Though Lucy may no longer be with us in body, the love she shared, the laughter she inspired, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was a gift to those around her, and she will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before her.
