Lucy Rodriguez

Lucy Rodriguez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to the Lord on September 1, 2015 at the age of 91. Lucy was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 7, 1924 to Jose Maria Valdez and Amelia Baca Valdez. A woman of great faith and extreme kindness, she served her church and community throughout her life. Lucy loved to garden and could always be found outside planting and watering. She leaves behind five children, Maria Ester Pettyjohn, Gilbert Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez and George Rodriguez, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces and friends. She was preceded in death, by her beloved husband of 64 years Cosme Rodriguez; daughter, Olga Reyna; son, Adrian Rodriguez, grandson Daniel James, great-granddaughter Delany, her sister and 4 brothers. A visitation will begin, Monday, September 7, 2015, 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a prayer service to be held that same evening at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home, Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church with interment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
