Luis Antonio Lopez Correa, 90, of Ponce, Puerto Rico passed away on October 22, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
A devoted Catholic, he lived his life guided by his faith and love for his wife of 66 years, their four children, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He proudly served 22 years in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer, and later worked at the Fort Sam Houston Officers’ Club until his retirement.
Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Evangelina Lopez; his children, Evangelina (Rolando) Alarcon, Flor Garcia, Luis Alonso (Veronica) Lopez, and Myriam (Jason) Wallace; his cherished grandchildren, Clarissa, Karynna, RJ, Rhys, and Rosalie; and great-grandchildren, Amelia and Aria.
He is preceded in death by his mothers, Myriam and Flor Maria; his father Antonio; and several brothers.
Although our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with his loved ones in Heaven. Services will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home (1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Tx, 78218). The viewing begins at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 6:30 p.m.
