Luz was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and was a devoted follower of her Catholic faith and made those values the centerpiece of our family's daily life. "Nana" as she was called by her loved ones was a woman of many interests and approached all endeavors with decisiveness. She made things happen. Her leisure interests included reading and gardening. She participated as a leader throughout her children's school life in volunteer roles such as Girl Scout leader, chaperon for school field trips and assisted in the school cafeteria. However, the hallmark gift to her children and grandchildren was providing them with an education and a strong work ethic, as exampled by her own strong will and a sense of fairness, to guide them through the rest of their lives.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters and her sister-in-law Marie Parsons. She is survived by her devoted husband, William McMunn, Jr.; daughter Mary Joyce Centeno and husband, Joe; son, Reynaldo McMunn and wife, Belinda; daughter, Mona McMunn Lowe, son, William McMunn, III, D.D.S, M.D., son, Mark McMunn and wife, Virginia; grandchildren: Josef, Aramis, Josh, Jessica, Michael, John, William IV, Anna, Lucia, Connor, Santiago; great-grand daughter Madyson and sister, Esther Gonzales, brother, David Martinez; sister, Victoria Medellin; sister, Margaret Duarte; sister-in-law, Vickie Delgado and husband Reynolds; brother-in-law, Leonard Garth Parsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
