

Lyda Evelyn Pennington Wirth, age 94, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011. She was born in Stillwell, Oklahoma to Sir Thomas Pennington and Lyda Elizabeth Lee Pennington on April 29, 1917.
She married the love of her life, her blue eyed, tall, dark haired, handsome man, the late Ferdinand "Ferd" Leo Joseph Wirth Sr. Ferd and Evelyn shared 59 wonderful years together.
They were blessed with three wonderful, loving, children, the late Ferdinand "Ferdie" Leo Joseph Wirth Jr. and his late wife Patty, Carol Lee Wirth-Wright and her husband Charles, and Thomas Anthony Wirth and his wife Wendy.
Evelyn, known affectionately as "Nana" to her numerous grandkids: Trey Wirth, Lisa Brown and her husband Reed, Clark Wirth and his wife Elizabeth, Sandy Dibrell and her husband Brad, Holly Hindt and her husband Jody Cortez, Lance Hindt and his wife Kathy, Brian Hindt, Caty Shelton and her husband Kempe, Thomas Wirth and his wife Scarlet, the late Kathryn Wirth, Laura Cone and her husband Will, Emily Perryman, Chase Wirth, Brian Wright and his wife Roxanne and Meredith Wright; great grandchildren include: Ryan Brown, Lauren Brown, Brett Brown, Campbell Wirth, the late Sam Dibrell, Hannah Dibrell, Blake Ehninger, Joseph Cortez, Zach Hindt, Alex Hindt, Luke Shelton, Megan Wright, Mylissa Barnes, Tate Wirth and Landry Wirth.
The family would also like to acknowledge her life long friend Larry Carbone (Olga). Evelyn Wirth was an accomplished artist working out of the Coppini School of Fine Art, studying under the late Warren Hunter, Clinton Bherman and Donald Trott.
Evelyn loved spending time with her dear "Bridge Club" friends and was a member of The San Antonio Country Club.
She was a devout member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church and the church's Senior Member group.
Evelyn Wirth loved spending time at her ranch in Bulverde, Texas, with her family and friends and lived life to it's fullest.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 19th from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough.
